"Aro Rojo" is organized by Lontras Fest, a Mexican organization dedicated to the coordination and promotion of beer competitions and endorsed by the "Beer Judge Certification Program” (BJCP).
There is no limit for the number of entries per brewery. You can register as many beers as you want.
The registration fee for the first entry per brewery is $110.00 USD
Additional entries $90.00 USD each.
Additional $35.00 USD shipping fee will be charged for each entry.
The entrance + shipping fee must be fully cover for the registration to be processed.
Registration will be closed on January 31st 2019.
Once you have filled the registration form, you can make the payment via paypal.
You must send 4 samples for each registered entry in the competition.
After the registration process is concluded you will be given details on where and how you should ship your samples.
The participating beers will be evaluated according to the style in which they are registered and following the style guidelines of the BJCP. Particularly the aroma, appearance, flavor and body of the beer is evaluated.
The judges perform a blind evaluation for each sample, they do not know the name of the participant, the country of origin or the label they are evaluating, they only have knowledge of the style of beer they are judging.
Each entry will be evaluated and qualified by a panel of at least 2 judges. At least one of the two will be an international recognized judge by the Beer Judge Certification Program (BJCP).
Beers must be registered according to the 2015 BJCP style guidelines. For more information on the description of each style, see http://www.bjcp.org/stylecenter.php
The award ceremony will be on Friday, May 25, 2018, at the "Lontras Beer Festival" event in Tampico, Tamaulipas, Mexico.
It is possible to participate only in the competition, although we would love it if you could participate in the Fest. We encourage participants to attend the event because you will have great brand exposition throughout the northeast of Mexico, as well as the possibility of networking with potential customers for your beer.
